Stuck on sign in page

New plex user, just set up plex server on FreeNAS. Plays fine on windows desktop app.
Want to use on new LG WebOS 4 TV.

When starting Plex on the TV, it directs me to sign in on a web browser and enter the 4 character code. When I do that the TV flashes a welcome message and then goes back to the sign in page with 4 new characters. Done this a few times now and the TV shows up many times in the device list of my account.

The TV and the server are on the same local network. The server isn’t exported to internet.

I’ve never seen this before but I know from experience that Microsoft Internet Explorer and Edge suck when it comes to LINK codes.
Try it again with another browser besides those two.

This has happened to me in the past and found Uninstalling The Plex app and restarting the TV from power outlet after a couple Minutes. Install again and code link would work.
I have also found sometimes our selected ISP DNS (Default) is not the best to use on smart TV’s, try changing to Googles 8.8.8.8

Thank you SE56. The old uninstall-reinstall did the trick! (I’m not sure the power cycle was necessary, but I did that too.)

It took a while to find out how to uninstall an app. You do that on the home page using the “pen” thing that can re-arrange the order of the apps
