Stuck plex.direct certificate — unknown ca on all HTTPS connections (macOS)

Could someone from Plex staff please reset the stuck plex.direct certificate on my server?

@OttoKerner @ChuckPa

Plex account: quinnsb@gmail.com
Server name: admin’s MacBook Air
Machine identifier: 2fc205a30504300f6b2196113f4aa205bbc4e75a
Platform: Plex Media Server on macOS

Symptom: Every plex.direct HTTPS connection fails with tlsv1 alert unknown ca, including the server’s own loopback (127.0.0.1) and connections to Plex’s own infrastructure. Plain HTTP on the LAN works fine, so the server itself is healthy — this looks like the certificate is stuck/expired server-side.

Already tried:

  • Signed the server out and back in
  • Multiple full server restarts
  • Secure Connections set to “Preferred”
  • Remote Access shows “Fully accessible,” port 32400 forwarded correctly
  • Confirmed the server’s system clock is correct

Happy to post server logs (CERT filter) if that helps. Thanks in advance.

Done. Please stop and restart your server now.
