Stuttering sound on RPi1 with USB DAC when loading next song

Hi all,

I am using RasPlex v1.0.1 on a Raspberry 1. I’m also using an USB DAC in a headless setup where the USB DAC is connected to my stereo.

Everything is working fine except when loading the next song there is a stuttering of the actual played song. This always happens on the end and beginning of each song regardless of the used codec/file format (tried MP3, OGG, M4A).

The Raspberry is directly connected to LAN and the USB DAC is a Creative SoundBlaster Play working out of the box with RasPlex (just hat to change the audio output device).

Are there any settings I could tweak on RasPlex, the Raspberry or the USB DAC to get rid of the annoying stuttering sound? Are there best practices for using RasPlex “headless” just on a stereo?

I can’t replicate this, I have a couple of headless RPi’s connected purely for music playback. Can only think that this is hardware related, I’m using HiFiBerry DAC’s.
