I can easily search and /or add sub titles on my PC but am having a real hard time adding them on my TV (Roku). Can someone please tell me step by step (pics would even be better) so that i can not only learn but can tell my friends. Is there anyway that i can set up subtitles on my end (pc or tv) and thats what my friends will see (from my server)?

From the details/summary screen for an item. in the row of buttons below the summary on the rigth most button is the more options menu (the thee dots ) and choose Playback Settings. On the next screen choose Streams on the left and on the right choose Subtitles and pick the subtitle you want.
During playback if you click up or down to bring up the on screen controller, the playback settings (the three dots) is on the right side
