Discover should know your subscribed services, not just “preferred” streaming services.
If there is a show that is available on Netflix it says “subscription”. While not everyone knows what services are already available and which are not. Can it read “included” or something if it’s available without charge? Or maybe just leave the “subscription” off completely. Only tell me what needs to be paid if I need to pay something.
On another note, you have us select what services we “prefer” This might be best change to “subscribed” services, list and allow us to move services up and down on a sliding scale to select what will show first.
Services should be broken up into Paid subscription, Free without a subscription, Ad-supported, & Rental services.
This way results can be brought that will help users. If I only want to see ad-free options, then I should be able to do that. If I want to see ad-free options and rentals, I should be able to do that. (filter out unpaid subscription-based services)
Or maybe just free services, so currently subscribed, ad-supported, etc.
In any case, even without filtering them out, all of these should influence the priority of appearance. Paid for subscription & free no ads" then Ad-supported then rentals, then subscription-based services. Many people will only want specific ones.
