Hello,
this is bugging me for a long time.
#1: The (kodi) subtitle download window shows in the title bar, not the file name like when using it within kodi, but something like “start.mkv, file.mkv”.
Which makes it harder to choose the correct subtitle, i.e. from web, or BluRay…
#2: File download location and naming.
I’ve set kodi to download the subtitles next to the video file. So that it’ll be named i.e. “video_name.en.srt”. Which makes it available next time I play that video.
Now the plex addon ignores this setting. Instead it puts the downloaded subtilte into /home/username/Downloads and the file is named somthing like “start.lang.srt, file.lang.ass, or some_number.extension”.
So to keep the subtitle available for the next time playing, or when resuming, one needs to manually identify the correct subtitle file, move and rename it.
Please adapt the plex addon behaviour to follow standard and configured kodi behaviour.
