How to make subtitles work with new Download feature?

I can play a movie with a separate .srt file and get the subtitles fine when I am connected to my media server. However, if I then download that movie and go offline, I do not get the subtitles. With the prior Sync functionality, as long as I enabled subtitles while streaming from my server, they also became available offline after I sync’d.

Can someone explain the proper way I should do this? And should my .srt file have some specific naming convention, e.g. abcdef.ENG.srt ?

Thank you.

If these are subtitles you’ve provided, i.e. the subtitle file sits next to the movie file, they should get downloaded along with the movie. If you obtained the subtitles using Plex’s previous OpenSubtitle plug-in or using the Search function from the subtitle dropdown, these do not get downloaded.

Yes, they are subtitles I’ve provided - a subtitle file sitting next to the movie file, with the same main name and .srt extension. It is not getting downloaded, and subtitles are not working for me when I use the new download feature. If I play directly from the server, they do work. They also worked with the older Sync method. Ideas? Bug? Thank you.

Download a file and get me logs from the client and server.
