Subtitle offset 10 second limitation removal

Could the 10 second +/- limit on the subtitle offset be lengthened or preferably set to unlimited?


Often this capability would prove faster than the trial and error of searching for just the right srt file.

I don't know if this suggestion is officially covered by Plex but I could change the length of the subtitle offset by adding a file called "advancedsettings.xml" to the directory (Win7)

.../user/myusername/AppData/Roaming/Plex Home Theater/userdata/

containing the following code that sets the subtitle offset range to +/- 15 seconds (you can set it to any other value in seconds you might need):

This works for me on Win7 and PHT 1.1.2.293 but I don't know if it also works on other OS and other PHT versions.

Yes. That works on OSX as well. Has been working since 2008 :)

Thanks to both! Note, in OSX I placed the file in /users/myusername/library/application support/plex home theater/userdata.

Works like a charm!
