Your subtitle file has positioning info that the app is respecting. The {\an1} means to put the subtitles on the bottom left.

Follow up question: In the Plex Player there is a setting for subtitle Position, but it only has the options for bottom, middle and top. Would it be possible for you to add the options left and right?
