Subtitles Conversion Failed. Transcoder Exited due to error

This is an issue I’ve been dealing with across multiple devices for 4-6 months now. It’s not the end of the world, because the videos work without subtitles, but I prefer subtitles. I have searched these forums a bunch and tried a few options to see if it would resolve the issue. I tried burning the subtitles in when converting. That is currently set to always, but the error still occurs.

Server details:
NUC with intel i-7 11th gen
16 GB of RAM (8 GB allocated to a RAMDISK that is dedicated to hardware transcoding)
Version 1.30.0.6486

There are two external drives that are attached and media files from both have failed. The only non-failed experiments are situations where the subtitles are included in the media file and not a separate subtitle file.

I have tried the Plex Dance, to no avail. Please, this is frustrating as all get out and the only sore spot I’ve had with Plex.

Hmm. PMS is trying to save a copy of the subtitles to

R:Transcode\Sessions\plex-transcode-p6pwsqx5i3f97dfuws4204gb-95d570b4-82b5-49b1-b36a-18fb593be935\temp-0.srt

Note the missing \ after R:. Did you change the transcoder folder? Are you missing the \ in that setting?

That was indeed the issue. I switched to a new computer for the media server and when I set up the RamDisk, I didn’t add the trailing slash. Thank you. I feel a little sheepish
