Subtitles not displayed

Server Version#: 1.15.8.1198
Web client Version#: 3.95.2

Recently I’ve been noticing that, when I select subtitles with my tv show (doesn’t matter which show) the player often stops displaying the subtitles after a few minutes.
You would think the subtitle file would just be missing some subs, but when I skip back 10, 20, 30 seconds, all of a sudden, the parts that didn’t show subs earlier, now do have subs.

But then again, after a few minutes the subs start disappearing again.

What could be causing this issue and how can I fix this?

I had this issue with one of the beta Plex media server app. I rolled back to the official release and it was resolved.

Tried that, but it didn’t help unfortunately

Have the same issue with web player (no matter the browser) with every version of Plex server above 1.14.x.

If I go and minimize the player using that down arrow on the top left corner, and restore it, it brings the subtitles back for a few.

Yeah it sometimes brings them back for me as well, but only for a minute or so
