Subtitles aren’t displaying reliably on Plex Roku.
The player shows a menu of available subtitles to download, such as from OpenSubtitles. However, the subs never actually display. This happens with every movie I try on Roku with Plex-downloaded subs.
As a workaround, I have to manage subtitle content directly. For example, placing a .SRT file in the video directory, or using mkvtools to manipulate soft embedded subtitle tracks.
This is a long-standing glitch in the Plex Roku application that has been around for months, if not years.
