When I select a subtitle from OpenSubtitles within Plex, the subtitle doesn’t load.
This happens when I have two (or more) versions of a movie. If I play the default (first) version of the movie, the subtitles load, and if there are different languages, they show as available. BUT if I play another version of the movie, the subtitles are not available, they are ONLY available in the first version.
If I delete the first version, the subtitles DO show in the remaining version … SO basically they are available only in the FIRST version of the movie (independently of what version it is).
This ALSO happens with external subtitles when they have the same name as the movie.
As far as I am aware, this issue has been present in all versions since the beginning of time (I may be exaggerating a little), including the most recent one (1.41.0.8992), regardless of whether it is Windows or Linux.
So … is there any way to use the downloaded subtitles with the other versions of the movie??
