Subtitles out of sync on xbox one x

Player Version#:current xbox one x version

For some reason my subtitles go out of sync. Things were fine before some update, which update broke it I’m not sure. If I play a file the subs will either be way ahead or duplicated on screen twice. If I stop playback completely and restart it the subs will be fine from that moment on, but on starting the next file it will be messed up again.
