Can’t play TV shows with subtitles on my new Chromecast Google TV unless set the subtitles setting to Burn. Automatic and Image Only results in the video loading indefinitely. The subtitles are srt files downloaded from opensubtitles.
Similar issue for me. Got them working on the web client with adjustments to the burn in options. Is this even possible on the google TV app?
Resolved the issue for me, found the settings in the general app settings to “Allow Burn in for Image type only”.
I had to set it to Burn Always for it to work for me and (unfortunately) that means that I can’t change the colour of the subtitles? It doesn’t follow the settings I like… Why can’t subtitles just work? I can stream to my Android device just fine with subtitles, but it “breaks” Plex on Google TV for some reason?
