Hi. I have problems with subtitles embedded in mkv files when I play videos in a NVidia Shield. I have no problems at all when I play the same videos in Windows, Web browser or Android Phone. I’ve been suffering from this problem since several months ago.

In the Plex app on the Shield, do you have the option enabled to allow automatically adjusting the quality. There is a bug I’m looking into with that and subtitles. Workaround for now is to turn that feature off or set the subtitles to burn.
