I have download an mp4 version of the 2010 version of Karate Kid, which plays without issue on Plex. I have an open subtitles account which is logged in and at the top of the list in Movies>Plex Movies within Agent. However on the non-English spoken parts I am not getting subtitles. I have all the relevant boxes selected in Language but still nothing after refreshing and updating server.
If you only want subs during the foreign parts, that’s called a forced subtitles. PMS doesn’t currently support asking opensubtitles for just forced versions. You’ll have to grab those manually.

Seven…what do you mean by this? The only option on plus subtitles is full English subtitle or none. Do i need to do something in OpenSubtitles?
i mean, maybe downloaded subtitle does not have the translation for some foreign content
if not try to add manually like @MovieFan.Plex said
Where do you suggest getting these foreign parts from and how does PMS grab those details?
Thanks

You can manually search popular sites like OpenSubtitles or SubScene.
Extract the subtitle from the original disc, these will be idx/sub from a DVD or PGS from a blu-ray. Some clients will direct play these but other might need them to get transcoded into the video during playback.
I do not know of a good online source for forced subtitles only. A forced subtitle ONLY has these foreign parts. PMS does not magically extract them during playback, it just plays back what is available. Once you have these files, you can get Plex to automatically select the subtitle for you so you don’t have to select them manually. https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200471113-Configuring-Subtitle-Support
