Hi,
I have a problem with subtitles thourgh DLNA on a LG UH8509.
I have a file.mkv, I’ve made many subtitles.LANG.srt, forced and so on.
It works through the player in chrome.
But there is now way to choose them on the TV?
Do I have to write a profile for my TV? I’ve spent two days on the problem and can’t seem to find a solution.
To me more specific the problem appears only with external subtitles. I’ve tried everything I found on the forums - no luck.
External subtitles only work if there is a hardware profile for your DLNA client.
If there is none, Plex will only send the media file as-is. That means without muxing in subtitles. The subtitles need to be already muxed in or they won’t work.

So I should follow this:
find a profile or create one for a LG UH8509, write it and then external subtitles should work, yes?
Or am I understnding this wrong?

If you can manage this, yes it should work. But writing and debugging these profiles is a ■■■■■.
