We’re continuing to focus our efforts and resources in ways that best serve our Plex community, and as such, we’ve made the decision to officially end support for our Facebook/Meta Portal app on July 1, 2024.
We know that some of you will be impacted by this and we apologize for the inconvenience. This decision was not made lightly, and overall, low usage played a major role in our decision process. Meta is not releasing any new Meta Portal devices and their support for the platform will be ending in the months to come, too.
Users who already have our Facebook/Meta Portal app installed on their device will be able to continue using Plex for now. However, keep in mind that because the app will no longer be supported, it’s possible that future system changes could affect access to Plex libraries when using the app.
