[support] needed: plex server(s) not showing up

hey guys—

so, i’ve got about 4 plex servers
i keep going (a primary, and then
3 secondary), along with cloud
sync and two friends’ servers i
have access to, but don’t maintain.

today, i try to fire up plex+
• cloud
• friend 1,
• friend 2,

+nothing else. the server menu
in both plex media player and
plex web shows the other servers
on a list with “connecting,” but
after a bit, only displays one
of the secondaries with the
red unavailable triangle.

physically accessing the primary machine,
i can see plex media server
running in the menu bar (latest server,
i think? on os x 10.9.5). i then try
either “open plex” or “preferences”
to the plex web interface that only
shows what i described above.

i have zero ideas on next steps.

can you help?

thanks—

ok—quick update: ios
player(s) are working.

possibly a plex media
player/web issue?

It could be a device discovery issue. If you are using PMP in desktop mode, it cannot automatically find your servers, only those published through plex.tv. Double check your servers and make sure they are all on the same local network subnet, otherwise they won’t show up.

primary is offsite, from
my normal access
along with one secondary.

but, both my remote pmp,
+local web were giving
me the same problem.

today, with no changes
from yesterday, both
are working. bizarre.

i primarily use pmp in
desktop mode (but love
that web is now handy).
