I used to use an app on the iPhone a very long time ago called CarTunes. It died ages ago as the developer never updated it after the push away from 32bit apps.
Plex amp is very similar, and I like it, however it is missing the main ability that I loved from CarTunes, the ability to swipe forward/backward through songs.
Is there any possibility that swipe gestures can be added? Then when I am driving I don’t need to look and try find a button I can just swipe the screen.

I’m just a user, but I could see where Plexamp might consider adding “swipe on album art” for track changes (as Spotify and Tidal native apps have this behavior by default). However, I personally don’t like this behavior and if Plexamp were to add it, it should be a configurable setting so users could decide whether they want it enabled or disabled. And any newly added setting should probably default to the current behavior of disabled, meaning users would have to explicitly enable it if they want the new behavior. But to your point, I do see where users would like this function while driving.
Sure, I agree with UI changes like this being off by default, the more customisable the better really.
We try to reply to all the feedback, but things slip through the cracks.
We’ve experimented with swipe gestures for skipping tracks in the past, but never ended up with something we liked enough to ship. Perhaps in the future.
Just an idea - maybe it could be on by default when “car view” is activated?
