Switched to new linux distro, remote access no longer works

I recently switched to the new distro on linux using the command provided in the recent e-mail last month. Ever since then, remote access is not working.

I have tried to turn it off and on and it still says no access.

Have you checked the firewall ? Most modern linux distros have a firewall running by default and it probably needs to be configured to allow the ports through.

I had the port open for the firewall, but I didn’t have a static IP set for the linux box. I just did that and now it works. Weird that this only became an issue when I switched to the new distro. Looks like its resolved.
