I have created a user on the server with all privileges. The user can sync music and movies to their device but the option is not available when they create a playlist and try to sync it. Am I missing something here?
I just tried to sync a playlist and I do see the option. However, I did find something odd. You cannot sync a playlist that you just created. You need to go back to the home page, select the playlist category, then select the playlist that was created. Now, there should be the sync option at the top. I’ve reported this to the devs.
Unfortunately, did not fix the problem. I have opened and closed the player and restarted the server an still have the problem.
Click on the playlist first so you see the items. Then there will be a sync option at the top. Here is screenshot. I used a video playlist, but it should be the same.
Oh. Sorry. You are trying from PlexWeb. You cannot Sync playlists from Plex Web. You must do it from inside the Android app.
Thanks, the solution worked. What I don’t understand is why from PlexWeb I can sync music, movies, and playlists, and the user can sync music and movies, but not playlists. Sound like there is a software bug here.
Being able to Sync a playlist is part of Sync V2, which is available in the Android and iOS apps. PlexWeb still uses Sync V1, so there are a few differences.
