Syncing Playback - Mobile and Server

Good evening

I have Plex set to synchronise my ‘On Deck’ content to my Nexus 6P phone (Android 7.1.1). My PMS is on a Mac Mini running the latest DVR beta.

When I play content on my phone, then press the Sync button in the Plex Android app when I return home, I expected this to update the PMS so that when I resumed playing this item on a different client device, it would pick up playback where I left-off. However, it doesn’t do this. Is this normal/intended behaviour or is there a problem somewhere?

Thanks for the links. I’ve read these before but, unfortunately, they didn’t address my query.

If the process involved is effectively a one-way sync to the device and there is no two-way sync of playback time then fine, but it seemed logical for this not to be the case.
