I was working on resorting all my media into different folders by letter and after doing so many TV series got unsorted and compiled into one show. Now this one show has nearly 1500 mixed titles. How can I fix this?
\TV Shows\A\Name of Show beginning with A
\TV Shows\B\Name of Show beginning with B
Is the library still pointing to “TV Shows”? If so, this won’t work. Plex expects the show folder to be the first level from what the library points to.
The fix is to change the library folder to each of the lettered folders instead of the main folder. So if you have all 26 letters, you’ll need to include all 26 folders.
I have a folder called TV Shows and each series is in it’s own folders. Some may have the same name like s01e01 and so forth. Cannot not just read each folder and sync it that way? Yes the folder points to TV shows most series are synced fine. I did have them all linked before. One show worked fine before now it won’t.
From those images, it looks like you have your Plex library pointing at D drive. It should be pointing to “1-Television Show”. That’s why all your files are showing up as the show “1 Television Show”. As mentioned, Plex expects the first level of folders to be the name of the show.
I have two drives for TV shows pointing from TV Shows on Plex. Only certain shows aren’t linking not all. I have a 16TB & 8TB point from the same TV show folder and only some from each won’t link properly.
