re-installed plex on synology, after updating DMS to 7, attempting to add 1500+ tv series, when shows added to folder they appear as an alternative file for the same season and episode as below, the "plex dance"has been done many times , year and tvdb info added to folder names but fault still active, the file structue worked for a number of years on the previous install of Plex on DSM 6

which is the path in the library settings?
looks like you have a subfolder TV 0-999 in the tv folder so it should be
Volume1/video/TV/TV 0-999 not Volume1/video/TV

I have the shows organised in folders by title as below, I’m just starting to add them back, first in bulk but problem occoured so have tried adding just a single “letter” and then a single show folder but the same fault occours I just added the highest level TV folder to the library
just for clarity the TV Shows folder is a temp location whilw I’m trying to sort out Plex
You have to add each subfolder separately. like image below
What happens is Plex expects the next folder after the one listed to be a show folder but instead it is seeing Tv 0-999 which it then thinks files inside are all the same show. Since it cn’t glean anyting from the folder name TV 0-999 it looks at the first file it sees ( one of the 12 monkeys) which it can glean info then it only starts looking at the episode numbers of everything else in tv 0-999 and merges them in to the same show.
