Syncing recorded TV to a different server

Hi guys,

I think I may be in a bit of a unique situation, but looking for some help/advice.

I currently have 2 plex servers: 1 running on an nvidia shield and another on my windows desktop.

The shield is plugged directly into my main tv and directly into the same router my HDHomrun is plugged into. Streaming/recording TV all works great here.

My windows server has all my old TV shows and Movies and it also has a ton of storage available. However, it is connecting to the network over wifi. Streaming live TV to the server hits my wireless network pretty hard and can cause problems if people are playing video games or even watching netflix elsewhere.

The storage on the shield is not enough to hold my main windows library and I would like to consolidate everything into mostly one location.

Is it possible to have the shield record everything live as it is happening, then have a scheduled job happen at say 3am to move any recordings that are on the shield to the correct location on my windows server?

Also, is it possible to browse two servers at the same time on the shield, without the extra step of switching servers? Would be nice to have the stuff local to the shield in a library called Recent Recordings, then after everything is archived back to the windows server have it just be TV Shows.

Thanks for any help!
Jim
