Synology 920 - stream / transcode?

I’m pretty sure I know the answer, but to confirm -

I have a Synology NAS 920+, I have ripped my 4K UHD’s natively - so no changes just a straight rip at 4k. I assume that no transcoding will take place so I don’t need to worry about any CPU issue just pure “can I get to the streaming client fast enough?”. Is this right?

The streaming clients I have are a Nivida Shield Pro - wired, & Apple TV - wireless (both running to LG OLED TV’s which are wireless and used as a backup plex client).

I do have a NUC device available - ASUS PN50-E1 - if that would make a significant difference, but the storage would still be on the NAS.

If you did a raw rip, AND included PGS subtitles THEN those subtitles will be a problem.

The Syno DS920+ will work beautifully transcoding the video but Burning Subtitles will choke it EVERY time.
