Hi - I am trying to set up Plexconnect to stream to AppleTV3 from my Sinology DS215J NAS … I have the PMS working OK - but stuck trying to follow the instructions for PlexConnect.

You Will have to give Some more info than this. No idea what your question is. Where are you stuck what is the error message etc.

Next - “Install PlexConnect” … I can’t find any Packed called PlexConnect … also if you click on the source list above there is no specific file for DS215J … so my question is … is there a PlexConnect package that supports DS215J ?

If so - where do I find it? - or are there any other instructions I should follow?

I will let others comment as well but indeed as far as I can see your nas is not supported by plex connect.

You are right that http://www.brigittehelsen.be/plexconnect/ does not lists the ds215j, but this is irrelevant. Any package will work (unlike PMS). The reason is that PMS is compiled for a certain architecture (intel, arm, armv7, etc) but PlexConnect is not compiled (it will be compiled by Python after installation of its source code).

Great - so how do I load PlexConnect (whatever version) if it doesn’t show up in Synology PackageCentre ?

Did you put the tick mark for allowing third party apps? If you then add this Brigitte something as a source you should see plex connect as an app in the view when you click install new apps and view all.

Hopes this makes sense not behind the nas interface now so doing this off the top of my head

Thanks guys … very strange thing … searched for ages to find the PlexConnect Package in Sinology Package Centre … it does not show up under the ‘All’ Category Tab … but checked the ‘Community’ Package Tab and there it is !!!
