Synology DS412+ and Apple TV (Model # A1469 3rd generation Rev A)

Dear Fellow Members,

 

I am sure that you must have seen questions like mine from several users however I am posting it again as I could not get a straight answer in one message in available forums as most of the responses pertain to linking the Apple TV with Plex Server running of Macs than NAS.

 

I just bought my new Synology DS412+ last week and setup the same for various uses including Plex. I cannot access the content available on the Plex Server. In this regard I did google a lot and could not find a straight line method for an amateur like me to find a solution on getting my media on my big screen. (Please note that I tried several methods but no luck)

 

In this regard I would appreciate if you can advise me a methodology (including the required files) to ensure that I get my Plex server content on my TV. Kindly note that my Plex experience is one week only so please advise steps in considering my experience of Plex and Synology DS.

 

My existing equipment is listed below

 

Synology DS-412+ (running Plex Server)

Apple TV (Model # A1469 3rd generation Rev A) - Running Latest updated software

Mac Book Pro

 

I would appreciate your support in this regard.

Yeah bwynants has really made it easy for Synology users as well as contributing code to the actual client itself.
