Tried streaming 4k and it stutters bad. Not sure what to do. I have an android box on my other TV and streams just fine with that. I’m thinking it’s the TV proc not being strong enough?
If the Sony cannot DirectPlay (audio and video format a perfect match), PMS will transcode what it needs to. The DS216+II is in no way strong enough to perform the task. Only the DSxx18 series can begin to accomplish the task using Hardware Transcoding.
wasn’t trying to transcode but I guess the file format wasn’t compatible with the sony tv. I guess I could attach the android box to it as it streams fine with that android box as an in between.
It’s weird since the android box is currently connected to an older sony 4k tv but had issues streaming 4k with plex until I got the box for it.
