In looking at the Plex NAS Compatibility List, I have noticed it hasn’t changed in a few years… but the NAS hardware manufacturers clearly have. Does anyone know of either a newer spreadsheet or their own research that shows models with hardware accelerated transcoding beyond these for Synology? I currently have a DS1819+ and a backup DS1815+ that work great for file serving and other network purposes… but as Plex servers, they are really slow and tax quickly with more than one stream. I have been using them for about 6 years now and am ready to upgrade… What I would like to do is have a 2-4 drive hardware accelerated NAS that is simply serving Plex media and pull the media from the DS1819+ if I can.
