Synology NAS - Updated to PlexMediaServer-1.21.4.4079 and now nothing but trouble, now transcoding doesnt seem to be working on DLNA?

So I had been running the latest Synology Plex Update & I decided to update to Plex 1.21.4.4079 (I wish I hadn’t) for whatever reason my existing plex settings were lost so I.

Switched DLNA back on.
and I eventually found out I had to change the permissions for my media folders in Synology control panel so they now look like this:

we use WD Live devices to play our media (yes I know they are old, no I am not interested in replacing them at this point) using DLNA server.

Anyway everything seemed to be working after that I had watched a few movies & TV shows all good. Then last night suddenly the WD started saying

“Unable to play the selected file. Please see the User Manual for a list of supported file formats”

Now I will mention the files play from from the plex wed interface player so the files are fine.

So I thought ok this must be a transcoding issue, so this morning I checked the DLNA logs and found errors relating to the system being unable to access the transcode folder or transcode locally. so I checked the synology permissions on the plex folder & sure enough it was set to read only (despite this there are transcode folders created in the plex folder since I did the upgrade) so I changed them so plex had read write permissions to its own folder which eliminated the error from the log but did not stop the WD Live TV from saying:

“Unable to play the selected file. Please see the User Manual for a list of supported file formats”

I noted there was a plex upgrade available to i upgraded to PlexMediaServer-1.22.0.4163 in hopes there was some bug fix or something, no such luck. so here is what happens now when I try to play the episode in question.

I really hope someone can see what is wrong here and help me out as I am seriously over this, everything was working fine & now has just hit the dirt for no reason.

just did a clean boot of the synology & Plex, then at the 12:40 mark for 13.3.2021 I was able to play a movie for a couple minutes before I stopped it which played fine without error however I note *.avi files are working fine.

It seems my transcoding is broken & I do not understand why ?

I also tried restoring my databases to a DB from 2 days ago,

com.plexapp.plugins.library.blobs.db
com.plexapp.plugins.library.db

No changes after that, though I did not there are the files

com.plexapp.dlna.db
com.plexapp.dlna.db-wal
com.plexapp.dlna.db-shm

present in my database folder that are not backed up nor are they mentioned in the guide on how to repaire a corrupt database here:

Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated.
