Hello. Some time ago all my transcoding seems to have broke on my Synology DS1513+. It was always slow on Synology NAS, but at least it worked. Right now some videos will not stream to Apple devices, and they cannot sync down either. For example, I’m trying to transcode a H.264 movie with no luck. Please advise what logs or screen shots are needed.

I’m sorry if it wasn’t clear. I’m not expecting real-time transcoding. I’m OK with optimization and sync taking a while. They used to work - it was slow, but they worked. The movie files didn’t change. Now it’s just erroring out immediately. I just want to fix what used to work.

PMS 1.14.0 is VERY new, and beta, it might have a bug which was not caught during testing.
I don’t mind, but the result will be the same. In fact, I’ve upgraded to 1.14.0 because I was having this problem on several of the earlier versions. Want me to downgrade and upload the logs and XML again?

Still failing to convert with 1.13.4 version. You want to see the logs and XML?
The files are fine, and they stream perfectly to my RasPlex player, because RasPlex can accept the native stream without transcoding. The problem only manifests itself if I try to stream (or sync) them to an Apple device (i.e. Apple TV, iPad, or iPhone), because these cannot accept the native stream format and require Plex to transcode/convert the format.
I know I can use another host to convert the video and add another version to Plex. I am just trying to make work what was working just fine for years. I’ll post logs and XML in just a minute.
Respectfully, I understand, and both used to work. Synology NAS used to be able to transcode this file in real time (for streaming) and to re-encode (for sync). Now neither works. Either something changed with the software, or something on my side. So I’d like your help in figuring out what.

Again, respectfully, I know that I’ve been able to sync this movie onto my iPhone and iPad before. It took a long time to convert, but eventually it did finish, and the movie was synced to the device. It pegged the CPU on the NAS for a while, but it did complete. Are you saying this couldn’t have happened and I’m mistaken?
I’m pretty sure I’m not limiting any bandwidth on the server, and the client is irrelevant (as I understand), because I’m executing optimization request on the server side (which is failing). I’m not trying to stream this movie.
