The solution for those devices on your LAN
- In the app, try relaxing the secure setting. (some app versions have this)
- Settings - Server - Network - Show Advanced
- Try setting from REQUIRED to Preferred … This allows fallback.
This failing.
- Add the IP of those devices which cannot connect securely anymore to connect without authentication. Be careful not to have any leading or trailing spaces.
- Change REQUIRED to PREFERRED if you have it set to required.
- SAVE the changes.
- Restart the TV apps.
For those which are remote,
- Enter their WAN IP (if it’s static). Enter their subnet (if safe to do so – usually only safe in rural areas)
- Else, setup a DDNS for their location and enter the DDNS name instead.
