don’t think there are issues with plex but there were issues with that update. But they may have been resolved. i’d worry more about the syno update then how it will affect plex.
but if you just got the notification then the roll out has continued so they must not be seeing all the issues they were in their first attempt at that update.
I’m using the version 7.2-64570 Update 1 in a DS218+.
Plex version: 1.32.5.7210
Everything is working fine.
Are there any issues with Plex? It should just be a simple update?
Ill say this. Whatever they did with this update made my gui and all my containers in docker run maybe 50% faster. i was trying to diagnose what had happen over the last several months as everything was so slow but this is amazing.
plex is fine. Chuck has been running this version for 3 weeks now. not update 1 but the main update.
They won’t let my DS418 have updates.
Maybe there’s no update for DS418?

ive got a DS423+ and the latest version I can get is 1.29.2.6364-7000 and I think this is causing issues migrating from Windows because its on version 1.32!
My migration hasnt worked something is corrupted I wonder how I can get the latest version or should I wait until its released and migrate again then?
Migration doesn’t depend on PMS version.
Migration only depends on being able to read all the files (from Windows), as user “PlexMediaServer” (IMPORTANT)
Those files are placed in Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server
I updated this morning. Everything went well; no issues at all.
Plex is working fine. Actually seems a littler faster at the loading
I have firmware 7.1_64570.
According to the download page, this includes update 1.
I was up to date without realizing it as Update 1 is included with the base firmware
I have an issue since this afternoon. Plex doesn’t look up for movie details and doesn’t update the cover.
I checked the port forwarding and it says there is no internet connection. However I can still get access to Plex using my Plex app on my Mac remotely and on Safari on my iPhone but not on Safari on my Mac !
In the PMS settings it says that an update is available but when I click on the link only the version from June 12 which I already have is available.
Any advice?
Here is what I have in the console:

Hi !
Is that fine?
That’s perfect.
You’re going to slap yourself. ![]()
The DNS or gateway (modem/router) address isn’t correct.
PMS cannot get to the internet.
Jun 28, 2023 21:07:34.609 [140501436959544] WARN - [HttpClient/HCl#146] HTTP error requesting GET https://plex.tv/media/providers?X-Plex-Token=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (6, Couldn’t resolve host name) (Could not resolve host: plex.tv)
Thanks but I haven’t changed anything since this morning as I was not there !
Is there a DNS configuration in Plex? I don’t find it.
And the weird thing is that I can get access to Plex using the Plex App on MacOS without any problem outside my network and also from my iPhone using Safari (but not from MacOS using Safari).
This is what I have in Remote Access (which doesn’t really make sense):
Plex relies entirely on the host (Synology: Control Panel - Network) for how to get to the internet (default gateway) and the IP address (usually modem/router IP) to lookup names.
You just upgraded DSM?
There have been few glitches with DSM upgrades. nothing major but I have seen DSM itself not upgrade 100% cleanly (certain settings got lost)
As last step here before we go deeper,
I changed my DNS server from 192.168.1.1 to 9.9.9.9 and 8.8.8.8 on my Synology and it seems to solve the issue.
Thanks again for your help and sorry for bothering you. Seems my provider’s DNS are screwed again.
Glad you’ve resolved it.
Based on your results, I agree it’s FUBAR again ![]()

It’s even crazier !
If I put the Quad9 DNS on my router then internet access is fine again. However when I try to get a movie’s information it doesn’t manage to connect to the Plex Movie DB.
If I put the Quad9 DNS directly on my Synology then everything works fine…
I’ll keep things like this hoping it will not crash again.
