Tagged Photos - I can't see the tags

This may be the dumbest question ever, but I cannot avoid asking it.

I have successfully set up a test Photo library and enabled auto tagging. I dropped in a few images and let it do it’s thing. It appears to work. I can tell that works because I can search on tags and it properly finds photos.

Question: Where on earth do the tags actually show up? When I look at a photo via the Web app or iOS, I don’t see the little tag icon. Is there some other setting somewhere I am missing?

Not dumb at all, since it’s a little bit hidden, and not very functional anyway. To see a partial list of tags on an image, view the image (I’m speaking of Plex Web only). Then, on the toolbar at the bottom right, click the little circled “i” information icon. This opens a sidebar that shows camera info, and a list of “related” images. Related images are determined by tags, so it will show you a count of other images in your library with the same tags. If there are no matching images, you won’t see anything.

The only way to see the complete list of tags for an image is to view the XML info for the image. While looking at your photo library (not a full image), hover the mouse over an image thumbnail, then click the “…” icon that appears. Select “Get info,” then click “View XML” in the bottom left of the box that pops up. You’ll see the complete list of Autotags for that image.

Makes total sense. I think I was thrown off by the FAQ that describes the Auto Tag feature.

Notice the little “Tag” icon in the upper right? That’s what messed me up. I suspect that that feature had been replaced by the Info pane.

Hi all!
A great feature could be if we could add custom tags to photos, or manage tags in a manner similar to Picasa.
Obviously the best could be the face recognition feature…
Do you think we will have all this one day?
