has anyone been able to get plex to allow the taking of screenshots? talking about internal caps like virtually every player, inlcuding plex’s underlying mpv, lets you do.
i tried editing the mpv.conf on embedded but had no luck. the mac app version doesnt seem to have the right directory to even try
either this or the ability to send plex content to an external desktop player would work for me. the latter of which you can do with existing browser plugins, but only for files locally stored on the same device. (edit: all my media is served from one machine on the home network, which contains local files and an sshfs share)
at least it appears the discussion didn’t go anywhere…
what’s wrong with the built-in screenshot shortcuts of macOS? Shift+Command+4 might be a poor start as it’ll require you to actually select the area to take the screenshot from…
but what about
Shift+Command+3 to save the current (full) screen to your desktop (should do the job if you’re in full-screen mode)
Shift+Command+5 gives you an overlay to pick the app you want to take a screenshot from (or to select an area or full-screen)
@JuiceWSA: OP was about macOS… what you call printscreen is Ctrl+Shift+Command+3 for us
