Continuing the discussion from Take screenshot of media playing:
The suggestions all seem focused on MacOS shortcuts and understandably so, but what’s not being said I think is that as soon as you hit a key or pause, we’re seeing the media player controls or the big orange play button in the middle of the screen become a part of the screenshot overlaying the capture we want to take.
I’ve yet to figure out a way to do this aside from workarounds of PlexBMC-ing or DLNA through some other app like VLC just for this one function of screen capture.
The nature of my work does involve reporting on films in detail and screenshots really do help, but as it stands the native Plex apps for MacOS don’t facilitate this. It would be great if someone filled this gap.
In fact I’d also raised this as a bug to fix on OpenPHT which for the longest time was my favourite player with this only one limitation, it used to crash out on the hidden screenshot shortcut.
