The behavior has changed for the better. Now instead of crashing at 99%, a DTS MA file will transcode to DD AC3 640kbps. This is a welcome improvement but still not the desired result.

Hi, I also have a TCL 65R635-CA that was playing all files flawlessly up until a couple days ago. It still plays 720p fine, but the 1080p files only get to 13-33% before the app closes back to the home screen. All the other apps like Netflix, Prime, Disneyā€¦ still work. The tv is hooked up to a Yamaha RX-V485 through eArc. I donā€™t believe that Iā€™ve changed any settings anywhere from when it was working.

I have another TCL tv thatā€™s Android, and an LG set using its own system, and the Plex apps on both of those play the 1080p movies with no problems; same with the app on my PC.

The Plex Server is on my PC, and the files are on a Drobo NAS.

Any thoughts that havenā€™t already been offered?

Bump Still An issue. It seems the default behavior at this point is to convert to DD the first time or two but then the old 99 percent then crash happens.

Ooooohhhh man. things are happening now. I can confirm this is now working with most if not all DTS MA 5.1 tracks. Unfortunately any file I attempt to play that is DTS MA 7.1 defaults to AC3 640kbps. Plex Dash shows direct play of DTS MA 5.1, while the receiver shows DTS. Almost there, just gotta get 7.1 working and Iā€™ll be soooooo happy. Keep up the good work.

Edit: So after listening Iā€™m guessing only the lossy DTS core is making it to the reciever. Sounds pretty bad compared to the same file playing with DTS MA showing on the reciever.
