Server Version#:Synology
Player Version#:Apple Tv4k & Roku Ultra 4K
Poster on right side, description in opposite corner etc etc
Big step backwards.
Also when searching through any actors, directors etc. names, why you still have first name first?
No sense here
On what versions of those apps are you?
What you describe does not sound consistent with the current app design / UI.
I am using the most recent versions that you can downoad automatically on Roku Ultra and Apple TV 4k.
By the way, how to check Plex version on these streamers/players?
What here is not consistent?
Try for example to find all John Wayne movies - you will need to go ytough hundereds of “Johns” - there is no way to speed up searching through.
While searching through TV series episodes you have episode poster (lets say #10) on your right hand side on the TV screen (when facing screen) and description and other episode’s data on left side of the screen, while focus should be concentrated somewhere near poster…
You can see this on the photos already posted by Plex users in related topics.
Once again - terrible GUI design, why something that was already nicely done you will need to change for worst ?
Same crap on Plex Preview - no hope for a good change.
Versions are usually listed at the bottom of the player settings.
When I open a tv-show from my library on the Apple TV 4K, I have the show’s poster showing on the top-left with the description and show details right next to it. Seasons for that show are listed below.
When I open a season, I get a “navigation bar” at the top to switch seasons – below that there’s a hub with the episodes of that season (single vertical line of the episode thumbs).
By navigating through the episode list, the details for that episode will show below (including description and playback buttons).
Nowhere do I get posters to the right and descriptions on the far left.
Hence my confusion. – can you link those screenshots/photographs?
As for the search… I consider you’re trying to filter your library – and yes… in that case you end up scrolling through all the Johns to find John Wayne.
Have you considered using the search instead? Typing (or dictating) “Wayne” should immediately show you the matches you’re looking for (actor: John Wayne, movies with John Wayne, movies directed by John Wayne (?)…).
OK it’s 6.6.8.6594 on Roku Ultra & 7.4 (21268) on Apple TV 4k
The most annoying is the “navigation”. through the episodes list - and this is what I was talking about… Episodes posters are lining one near another (and this is fine) but if you will go to let’s say episode 4 - you will have episode’s description with episode title on opposite side.
Yes, search works fine, but why when filtering - first name must be first?
Very annoying.
It was always like that, and it is like that now.
Agreed…For Plex DVR shows I used to have some surfaced functions like a trash can. These are gone and things are hidden under a kabob menu. Is this bug or an intentional change?
