This is a quick “thank you” to all the devs, testers, project managers, database engineers, network gurus, and all other cool sounding people who work for this company.
I’ve had over 100 years of home movies, photos, and voice recordings, as well as music, movies, audio shows, and tv shows spread all over my house and garage in every format imaginable - in addition to a good portion spread out on various cloud services.
Then I found plex, and for the last 6 months have been consolidating and organizing everything in a single location, able to be seen or heard with just this one service. With a couple clicks, family members can go from seeing photos of great-great-great-great grandparents, to videos of themselves as a baby, to watching the latest Doctor Who.
