The later LG apps are sooooooo slooooowww. Can I downgrade?

It takes soo loong to load, I want to use a Roku stick.
Also, changing users is almost impossible.
The TV is using LG version 06.10.40 on a UJ6540.
I just picked up an older LG with plex installed, version 4.*** and it is soo much faster and easier to use.
Is there a way to select the version of plex I can install?
I think there should be.

It is not possible to install other versions of the Plex app.
