is Pless Version 1.1.4.2757-24ffd60 breaks support for old LG TV?

Hi,

I updated my plex server this week end, and since I cannot use plex on my LG smart TV, model 47LV5500-UA (buought in 2011).

is it expected?

How can I get back to teh previous plex server version?

is there a way to run 2 plex serverr on a single machine?

Thanks for any help…

Regards,
Florian

You can only go back to a previous version if you still have that installation file. The policy of making all older packages available for download was discontinued as of version 1.0.0

You cannot run two versions of Plex on the same machine (port conflicts)

What is the problem you are seeing? If it is only the new ‘required sign on’ change, this can be adjusted to allow only those hosts on your local LAN (where your LG is) to connect without signing in.

why this policy has been discontinued ?

for windows there is a lot of source to get older package and it may lead to infected files. you can get all the older one here http://www.filehorse.com/download-plex-media-server/old-versions/ and even if i know this site is safe, some of em might be malicious.

Yes, it is.
See this thread how to overcome the issue, without downgrading PMS:
