The latest Update to Plex on the Shield Broke my Librarys

I use the Nivdia Shield as my Plex Server and after it updated to the latest version the other day all librarys except my home photos return the error message “There was an unexpected error loading this library”

Anyone know how to fix this? Re-scanning the library doesn’t work. It looks like the database may be corrupted.

Looking at the logs I am seeing errors like:

How do I fix this corrupt database?

So since no reply’s I have started with a fresh database.

The only way to do this it seems is to delete the Plex app and then I had to go into my external HD and delete the plex folders found under the Android folder (which took forever as between all of the metadata and images there was 100’s of thousands of records).

At this point I could then reinstall Plex and start fresh and added my libraries. If I recall the last time this ended up taking a few days to complete with all of the media files I had.

This time around I will be setting up the backup. I didn’t set it up before as I assumed it backed up everything (DB, metadata, images) and that would just take forever but from my understanding it only backs up the DB? Is this correct? So next time if this happens I just have to replace just one file?

I really like Plex and had the server installed on a Windows machine before. I switched to the Shield as I wanted the portability and the ability to take it camping etc… without internet access. Unfortunately the docs are misleading on this and while it is easy to pack up your Shield, the Plex Servert REQUIRES internet access (while the PC version does not) .

I also miss some of the admin features found on the PC version that is missing from the Shield. I really wish Plex updated the docs with more info on the Plex Server for the Shield. Feels like I am driving blind sometimes.

I almost regret getting the shield and wish I had just stuck with my Windows machine for my Plex server.
