The Prisoner (the original from the 60s, not the 2009 remake) has multiple episode orders–for a variety of reasons. Wikipedia has a table:
The show gets properly recognized with the sequence as they were aired. But I’d like to switch it to one of the other ones.
Mad bonus points if I’m able to switch back and forth within the home theater app, but even just choosing a different one via the management page would be ok.
I just ripped my A&E DVD boxed set and was thinking this exact thing. It’s a really oddball request and I don’t know how many other shows it could possibly apply to, but it would be a really cool feature.
@vthunder I have the same problem with multiple shows along with issues about what thetvdb considers to be specials. As a result I use nfo files and the XBMCnfoTVImporter. What I do is use MediaElch (you could use Emby or various other media managers) on the files in thetvdb order to get the metadata to create the nfo files. Having got what you want you then change the values in season and episode to give you your preferred ordering. Hit rename files to make everything consistent. Then you run a library scan with the XBMC agent. You could change the order as many times as you like by going back to the media manager but each time would require a reload of the metadata so perhaps not what you had in mind re changing order.
