Hi all. I’ve had Plex for years without any issue. However recently it’s refusing to cast to my Chromecast (from Chrome browser) and I’m getting the message below:
“The server X does not have a valid connection for casting. Check that the server is claimed in server settings”
Last night, following a suggestion I read somewhere online, I went to Settings/Network then changed ‘secure connections’ from Preferred to Required. And then it worked perfectly…I could once again cast! I tried several shows and a film. Then I went out to see a friend…but when I got home I tried to cast again, and had it reverted to the same issue (‘does not have a valid connection for casting…’). Any help hugely appreciated.
