It sounds like you’re having this problem with the web player, If I understand you right? This forum is for the Apple TV PlexConnect app.
For the web player, you can boost the volume by clicking on the wrench and screwdriver icon in the top right and then going to web > player and adjusting the “Multi-Channel Audio Boost” setting. I’d recommend starting on small and working your way up until it sounds good for you.
