Edit: Looks like the latest update has fixed this, now running 1.22.3.4392 without issues. (or it’s just coincidence).
Server Version#: 1.22.2.4282
Player Version#: https://app.plex.tv/desktop/ (4.55.0)
Apologies if this is in the incorrect forum or section.
I usually use the web player as a quick means of checking to make sure my latest TV/movie imports are working as well as their accompanying theme music, of which I usually add my own custom MP3.
An update to either the Plex server or the web player within the last few months has caused the theme music for any TV show (custom music or not) and its background image to essentially become stuck when using the browser back button. This is either through the mouse back button, pressing the back button on the browser or alt+left arrow. This means that the theme music will continue to play when I’m no longer viewing the TV show.
For example, I enter my cartoon section of my Plex server using https://app.plex.tv/desktop/, choose The Simpsons, its theme music plays and the background changes to The Simpsons, as expected. I press my browsers back button and the theme music for The Simpsons continues to play and the background artwork is now stuck there.
This will continue until I choose another TV show and then the cycle of the new TV show and its theme music/background will now be stuck in the same fashion.
The old behaviour previously allowed me to press the browser back button, the theme music stops and the background image clears to the standard Plex background of a orange/blue gradient.
I’ve tried different browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox) to rule out the possibility of extensions interfering.
Any help is appreciated.
