There was a problem emptying trash

Server Version#: 1.22.2.4282
Player Version#: 4.54.5

I’m getting “There was a problem emptying the trash” on my music library, which I believe is related to the problem of Plex not removing library items for which the underlying file has been deleted. Here are the relevant lines from the log, created after doing all the things noted below:

Apr 12, 2021 16:02:14.446 [0x7faf66ffd700] Debug — Request: [172.22.1.56:59816 (Subnet)] PUT /library/sections/4/emptyTrash (8 live) TLS GZIP Signed-in Token (junk_mail77@yahoo.com)

Things I’ve tried/done:

  • Database repair (no errors from corruption checks, neither before nor after the repair)
  • Confirmed that the file and associated folder mentioned in the log were deleted from the disk (“Session 1: Introduction to “The View of Totality””
  • Manually deleted the “Session 1: Introduction to “The View of Totality”” item from the library
  • Cleaned bundles
  • Scanned the library multiple times
  • Refreshed all metadata

All my other libraries (movies, TV, pictures) are fine. I can empty their trash and Plex correctly removes entries when the files are deleted.

Anyone have any thoughts here or am I looking at having to delete and recreate the library, which I’d really rather not have to do?
